What Guest Say About Our Volunteers
From our Guest Book
Our family has been very blessed by the successful surgery and prognosis for our son and grandson. Once again we have been reminded of what is most important in our lives. The Ronald McDonald House (and staff) has truly been our safe home away from home and we thank you for your prayers, your comfort and compassion during our stay. You gave us comfort and hope at a very difficult time in our lives. ~~
Words cannot express my gratitude to the volunteers, staff, and fellow guests of this Ronald McDonald House. Without your services and moral support, my heart would not be able to get through this as easily. It helps so much to be so close to my baby in the Newborn Special Care Unit at Yale. I am truly blessed to be here with my son, surrounded by such wonderful people. ~~
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our painful hospital stay a very special one. All the volunteers and staff showed us such kindness and compassion. The empathy for our suffering and loss was extraordinary. ~~
The home environment eased a great deal of our stress during this terrible tragedy. You are all wonderful, kind, caring people. ~~
It’s hard really to express how helpful the services Ronald McDonald House provides are for the families of sick children. The staff and volunteers here were incredibly friendly and encouraging while they went about their business creating a place for us to rest, relax, and enjoy the company of others. My 14-year-old son and I will forever remember the great time we had and the new friends we made at the RMH-CT. ~~
Volunteer Quotes
Hope everyone enjoyed the dinner we cooked you! We certainly had fun making it for you. We hope to come back again. ~ Girls Scout Troop 4220
Enclosed please find two hand-crocheted blankets and a package of hand made jewelry. The blankets were made by me as a donation to children who may want (or need) a little feeling of “home” during their stay. The jewelry was made by a friend of mine in Georgia. The jewelry is intended for little girls who may have lost their hair during treatments and need a little something to make them feel “girlie” again.
