Kelvin Johnson - Feeding our guests

The Ronald McDonald House is proud to spotlight one of our most up and coming volunteers, Kelvin Johnson!

Kelvin began volunteering last year, at the conclusion of Pilot Pen, when he put much of the leftover food to use for families in need. After feeding a child who refused to eat, Kelvin became an important part of this organization. Not only did she eat his Butternut Squash soup, but she wanted more! Since then, Kelvin has regularly volunteered by cooking various meals and spending time with the families. As he puts it, “It is most important to interact with the families.”

Meryl Silver, who has been working with the Ronald McDonald House of CT for over twenty years wrote a note to Kelvin stating, “I was up late that night you were here and I saw how much a family coming back from the hospital very much enjoyed your duck dinner.”
